Biography of Aaron Downey

Aaron Downey is a professional Canadian hockey player who is known for his role as a right winger. He was not selected in the NHL draft, but on January 20, 1998, he signed a contract with the Boston Bruins as a free agent.

Career Highlights

On August 7, 2000, Downey signed a contract with the Chicago Blackhawks as an unrestricted free agent. He then went on to sign with the Dallas Stars on July 3, 2002, and with the St. Louis Blues on August 1, 2005.

In addition to his NHL career, Downey was selected in the waiver draft by the Montreal Canadiens on January 23, 2006. He had the honor of being part of the Stanley Cup-winning team, the Detroit Red Wings, in 2008.
