Tsotne Rogava, a renowned Ukrainian boxing coach, holds the esteemed position of trainer to professional boxer Arnold Khegai. As an accomplished boxer himself, Rogava was awarded the prestigious title of Master of Sports in Armenia. His pursuit of knowledge led him to graduate from the Yerevan State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports in 2005, specializing in coaching and pedagogy.
Military Service and Early Coaching Experience
From 2005 to 2007, Rogava served in the Armenian Internal Troops' sports division. His passion for boxing propelled him into a coaching role in Yerevan from 2008 to 2011, where he assisted the head boxing coach. Notably, he contributed to the training of Oganes Danielyan, an Olympic participant and European champion in 2008 (Beijing).
Coaching Successes in Ukraine and the United States
Rogava's coaching career in Ukraine spanned from 2012 to 2015, where he led the boxing team at the "Kapitan" sports club in Odessa. During this time, he mentored Ukrainian boxing Master of Sports, Elena Kolesnik. From 2015 to 2016, he selflessly volunteered as a coach at the Glendale Fighting Club in the United States, assisting in the training of renowned fighters Arif Magomedov and Melsik Baghdasaryan under the guidance of Abel Khachatryan.

He played a pivotal role in the training of notable boxers Ruslan Khamikoev, Alexander Kotov, and Dmitry Khasiev. Under Khachatryan's supervision, Alexander Kotov emerged victorious as the Russian boxing champion in 2017. In 2017, Rogava established the renowned Abel Boxing Gym, where he has served as its founder and head coach to this day. Under his tutelage, boxers Arnold Khegai, Tsotne Rogava, Alexander Zheleznyak, Georgiy Zadorozhniy, and Marat Grigoryan have honed their skills.
