Polish Figure Skater and Politician

Piotr Brodecki(birth and death dates unavailable) was a Polish figure skater who specialized in pair skating alongside Grażyna Osmańska-Kosterwicz. He achieved notable success both on and off the ice.

Skating Career

Brodecki and Osmańska-Kosterwicz skated together in pairs. They represented Poland in four World Championships: 1971, 1972, 1974, and 1975. Their highest placement was tenth in 1971. They also competed in numerous European Championships, where they earned their best result of seventh place in 1972.

In addition to their World and European Championships appearances, Brodecki and Osmańska-Kosterwicz represented Poland at the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo, Japan, where they placed 11th.

Academic and Medical Career

Outside of skating, Brodecki pursued an academic career. In 1973, he graduated from the Medical Academy in Łódź. After completing his skating journey, he moved to the city of Kielce, where he dedicated his life to working as a pediatrician until his passing.

Political Involvement

Beyond his athletic and medical endeavors, Brodecki served as a member of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland. This political involvement reflects his broader contributions to Polish society.
