Adam Schlesinger was an American musician and composer best known as the co-founder of the bands Fountains Of Wayne and Ivy.
Early Career and Success
Schlesinger's musical journey began with the formation of Fountains Of Wayne in the mid-1990s. The band released several critically acclaimed albums, including their breakthrough record "Welcome Interstate Managers" in 2003. In addition to his work with Fountains Of Wayne, Schlesinger also co-founded the indie rock band Ivy with his wife, Chris Collingwood.

Throughout his career, Schlesinger received numerous accolades for his musical contributions. He won three Emmy Awards for his work on television shows, including "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" and "Sesame Street." In 2003, he received a Grammy Award for Best New Artist as a member of Fountains Of Wayne. Schlesinger was diagnosed with COVID-19 in late March 2020. His condition worsened, and he was hospitalized in New York City. After being placed in a medically induced coma, he passed away on April 1, 2020, at the age of 52.
