Biography of Ahmad Abdullah Al Sheikh

Ahmad Abdullah Al Sheikh is the Managing Director and a member of the Board of Directors at Dubai Media Incorporated (DMI), one of the largest media companies in the Arab world, encompassing print, radio, and television. In addition to his responsibilities as Managing Director, Ahmad Al Sheikh also provides media coverage for His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates and the Emir of Dubai.

As one of the leaders in the press sector in the country, Ahmad Al Sheikh monitors all press publications regarding political, economic, cultural, social, and sporting events for Sheikh Mohammed. He has been a participant in official delegations of the UAE at most Arab summits and meetings of the Gulf Cooperation Council. He has also been a significant member of the delegation representing the UAE at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Being one of the pioneers of the media industry, Ahmad Al Sheikh has contributed to the development of this sector as one of the most influential individuals in the UAE. He began his career as a journalist at the newspaper 'Al-Ittihad' and then transitioned to television, where he held a series of key positions. Ahmad Al Sheikh became the first sports commentator for horse racing in Dubai and is one of the founders of Dubai Sports Channel. He is also the first UAE national to be a member of the General Union of Foreign Journalists in the United Kingdom.

In addition to his role on the DMI Board of Directors, Ahmad Al Sheikh is also a member of the Board of Directors of Dubai Equestrian Club and Dubai Sports Council.
