Aisha Tyler, born on September 18, 1970, in San Francisco, California, is an American actress, comedian, and writer known for her work in the stand-up comedy club scene. She is married to attorney Jeff Tietjens, and they share a love for beer and home brewing. Aisha even passionately expressed her love for beer on the Sharon Osbourne show. She is the daughter of Robin Gregory, a teacher, and Jim Tyler, a photographer. When Aisha was 10 years old, her parents divorced, and she received her father's upbringing, inheriting an early interest in comedy. In high school, she regularly attended improvisational comedy classes and later attended the School of Arts in San Francisco. She went on to attend Dartmouth College, where she earned a degree in economics and became a member of the Tabard student fraternity. In the Dartmouth Rockapellas group she formed, Aisha used music to convey the essence of social order problems.

Career
In 1994, Aisha Tyler landed the role of Charlie Wheeler in the TV series "Friends." In 1996, after working in an advertising company, she began her career as a comedian, traveling across the country. She played the role of a reporter in the TV series "Nash Bridges" and appeared in "Grand Avenue" and the popular series "The Pretender" in 2000. She also appeared in the film "Dancing in September" and the TV series "Curb Your Enthusiasm."

In 2001, Aisha's career took off in the television industry. She worked on the shows "Talk Soup" and "The Fifth Wheel." She also had roles in "24," "Sausage Factory," and various other projects. In 2002, she left "The Fifth Wheel" and participated in independent projects, including the film "Moose Mating," for which she received the NAACP Image Award.
