Early Life and FamilyAlagez Salahova was born on June 19, 1953, in Moscow, Russia, to parents Tahir Salahov and Vancetta Khanum. She was the middle child, with older sister Lara born in 1949 and younger sister Aidan born in 1964. Her father was a renowned artist, while her mother was a talented dancer. Salahova inherited her artistic abilities from her parents and danced in the national folk ensemble "Chinar" as a young girl.
Education and Artistic Pursuits
After graduating from high school, Salahova followed in her parents' footsteps and studied art at the Stroganov Moscow State Academy of Industrial and Applied Arts. She then pursued a degree in theatre design at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK). Salahova showcased her talents as an artist through exhibitions in Russia and internationally.
Acting Career
Salahova made her acting debut in 1978 in the film "Dante's Anniversary." She went on to star in several other films, including "In Front of a Closed Door," "Another Life," and the biographical "The Meaning of Life." Additionally, she established her own production company and promoted the famous Azerbaijani singer Aygun Beyler.
Personal Life
Salahova's first marriage ended in divorce, and she later married Konstantin Raikin, the son of Arkady Raikin. Their romance was rekindled in the late 1970s, and they had a son named Dan Shaik Oglu Sultanov. The couple eventually divorced due to Raikin's affair with another woman.
Death and Legacy
Alagez Salahova passed away on September 19, 2023, after a prolonged illness. She was remembered as a talented actress, artist, and producer who left an indelible mark on Azerbaijani culture. Her artistic legacy continues to inspire generations of artists and dancers.
