Early Life and Education

Albrecht Weber was born in Breslau on February 17, 1825, to Friedrich Benedikt Weber, a professor of agriculture and political economy. His early education remains unknown.

Academic Career

In 1848, Weber began lecturing on Sanskrit literature and language at the University of Berlin. He became a member of the Berlin Academy of Sciences and a foreign corresponding member of the Imperial St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences in 1860.
