Childhood and Early Life
Mario Alexey Alexeyev was born in 1979 in the village of Urmary in the Russian republic of Chuvashia. His father was a military officer, and his family moved frequently. In 1989, they settled in Moscow.
Education and Early Career
After finishing school, Alexeyev initially intended to study mining at the State Mountain University. However, he missed the preparatory courses and instead enrolled in the acting preparatory courses at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography (VGIK). He studied at VGIK for three years before transferring to the Shchepkin Theatre School, from which he graduated in 2000.
Theatre Career
Upon graduating from the Shchepkin Theatre School, Alexeyev joined the Moscow Youth Theatre (TYuZ) troupe. Among his notable theatrical roles were Balzaminov in Alexander Ostrovsky's "The Marriage of Balzaminov."
Film Career
Alexeyev began his film career in 2000 with small roles in films such as "Brother 2," "Poisons, or The Universal History of Poisoning," and the iconic TV series "The Brigade." His breakthrough came in 2003 when he played the lead role of Mario in Ruslan Baltzer's film "Don't Even Think About It." He reprised the role two years later in the sequel, "Don't Even Think About It 2: Shadow of Independence."
