Biography of Aleksey Tatarintsev

Aleksey Tatarintsev is an opera singer and tenor. He began his studies at the Moscow Academy of Choral Art in 2003, graduating with honors in 2006. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2003, Tatarintsev studied choral conducting at the Derzhavin Tambov State University. Even as a student, he obtained a position as a singer in the Rachmaninov Chamber Choir. He continued his studies at the Moscow Academy of Choral Art as a postgraduate student and a soloist in the local choir.

Work in the Novaya Opera Theater

Since 2008, Aleksey has been working in the Novaya Opera Theater Kolobov. Despite his relatively short singing career, Tatarintsev has already participated in numerous major projects under the guidance of renowned conductors and directors such as Vladimir Fedoseev, Vladimir Spivakov, Saulus Sondeckis, John Nelson, and many others. He has performed at international festivals in Germany, France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Japan.

Repertoire and Awards

Aleksey Tatarintsev's repertoire is quite diverse. He has taken on roles such as Lensky and Triquet in Tchaikovsky's "Eugene Onegin," the minstrel in Tchaikovsky's "The Maid of Orleans," Tamino in Mozart's "The Magic Flute," Alfred in Johann Strauss' "Die Fledermaus," and Count Almaviva in Rossini's "Il Barbiere di Siviglia." He has also performed famous romances by Sergei Rachmaninoff and Pyotr Tchaikovsky, as well as the tenor part in Giacomo Puccini's "Messa."

Tatarintsev's active career has earned him a series of prestigious awards. He won the bronze medal at the 2nd Galina Vishnevskaya International Opera Singers Competition in Moscow in 2008, the gold medal at the International Competition of Tenors in memory of Luciano Pavarotti, and the bronze medal at the International Glinka Vocal Competition. The Ivan Kozlovsky Foundation awarded Tatarintsev the title of "Best Tenor."
