Early Life and Education

Alice Polwas born on December 3, 1982, in Saint-Pierre, Réunion. Growing up in Marseille, France, she discovered her love for reading, reciting poetry, and storytelling at a young age. However, she struggled with self-esteem issues as a teenager, feeling inadequate and empty. At age 15, she found solace in theater.

After completing high school with honors, Pol enrolled in university, studying law and modern literature for a brief period. However, she soon realized that her true calling lay elsewhere.

Acting Career: Struggles and Breakthrough

Secretly attending castings in Paris, Pol moved to the capital at age 19. She struggled for years, appearing in bit parts and taking on odd jobs, including being a waitress and a bouncer. In 2011, a breakthrough came when she appeared in an IKEA commercial directed by Pascal Chaumeil.

Collaboration with Dany Boon

Chaumeil cast Pol in his 2012 comedy "Nothing to Declare," starring Diane Kruger and Dany Boon. Pol's supporting role as the sister of the female lead brought her recognition and led to a friendship with Boon, who she now refers to as her "big brother."

Boon subsequently cast Pol in the lead role of his 2014 comedy "Supercondriaque," alongside Kad Merad. The film solidified Pol's status as a comedic talent.

Continued Success and Versatility

Following "Supercondriaque," Pol appeared in supporting roles in the romantic drama "Untouchable" and the lead role in the television series "The Disappearance." In 2016, she reunited with Boon in the action-comedy "Raid Dingue," where she portrayed a clumsy police officer.
