Alicia Sacramone was born on December 3, 1987, in Winchester, USA. She is one of the leading international gymnasts. From a young age, Sacramone showed promise for an excellent sporting career. As a very young girl, her parents enrolled her in a dance school. However, performing various moves and pirouettes quickly became boring for Alicia, as she wanted something more lively and dynamic. At the age of 9, her parents decided to transfer her from the dance school to gymnastics. Although she started gymnastics relatively late compared to her peers, Alicia quickly mastered all the techniques and began actively participating in competitions. By the time she turned 12, she was already professionally working on the floor and was among the elite gymnasts.

In 2004, Alicia Sacramone had plans to join the US Olympic team. However, due to her inexperience, she did not make the cut and had to watch the Games through the television screen. This setback became a turning point in her life, and she even considered quitting gymnastics for good.

In 2006, Alicia Sacramone became the leading gymnast of her alma mater, Brown University.
