ChildhoodAlicia Vikander, an actress, model, and ballet dancer, was born in a large family in Sweden. Her mother, Maria Fahl-Vikander, a popular artist at the Gothenburg Theater, married psychiatrist Svante Vikander, who already had five children from a previous marriage. Unfortunately, their second marriage ended when Alicia was just 5 months old. However, her father never abandoned her, and she would visit him every two weeks. Alicia had a wonderful childhood, with her mother spoiling her as the only child, while also enjoying the company of her large and loving extended family on her father's side.
Early Career and Ballet
Alicia's mother recognized her artistic talent and her innate desire to perform from a young age. In 2000, after a conversation with her daughter, Maria sent Alicia to the Royal Swedish Ballet School. Alicia enthusiastically embraced her mother's suggestion and successfully auditioned, becoming one of the students at one of the best ballet schools in the world.
