Biography of Alina Grosu

Early Life and Education

Alina Mikhailovna Grosu was born in June 1995 in the Ukrainian city of Chernivtsi. She grew up in a family of an engineer and a nurse. Her father, Mikhail Grosu, later became a businessman and a local council deputy. Alina also had an older step-brother from her mother's side. She inherited her Moldovan roots from her father's side. In 2017, her parents gave her a younger brother named Mikhail, after their father.

Alina's journey in the entertainment industry began at a young age. At the age of 3, she participated in the "Mini-Miss Ukraine" contest and won in the category of "Little Talented Lady." Despite her rapid rise in the show business, Alina excelled in her studies. She graduated with distinction from the Kyiv Academy of Variety and Circus Arts named after Utesov, majoring in music. In 2010, she also completed her studies at the prestigious Kyiv Gymnasium and then moved to Moscow to pursue her career in acting.

During a competition in Kyiv, Alina caught the attention of Ukrainian singer Irina Bilyk, who introduced her to several songs that brought her initial fame. Alina officially started her professional career at the age of 4. She won numerous awards and titles, including the "Child of the Year" in 2001. Alina became a regular performer in New Year's shows and concerts at the "Ukraine" Palace, as well as at festivals such as "Slavianski Bazaar" and "Song of the Year." From 2000 to 2010, she released five albums, one of which, titled "The Sea is Wavy," went gold. In 2009, her song "Wet Eyelashes" became a hit and gained positive reviews online.

While studying in Moscow, Alina ventured into acting and made her debut in the TV series "Moscow. Three Train Stations." She then appeared in the Ukrainian project "Bird in a Cage." In 2015, she participated in the "New Wave" competition, which received mixed reactions from the public. Alina faced criticism for her collaboration with Grigory Leps and his production center.

Personal Life

In 2015, there were rumors about Alina undergoing plastic surgery, which she denied, attributing her changed appearance to weight loss and a busy schedule. However, a well-known plastic surgeon confirmed that Alina had undergone eyebrow lift, lip and nose augmentation, and cheek reduction.

Alina had kept her personal life private for four years until it was revealed that she was in a relationship with businessman Alexander Komkov. They got married in the summer of 2019 in a luxurious ceremony at Villa Arvedi in the Italian resort town of Abano Terme. The wedding cost €100,000 and was attended by colleagues from Ukraine, including Vitaliy Kozlovsky, Pavel Zibrov, Dmitry Kolyadenko with Irina Bilyk, and TV presenter Katya Osadcha.

Alina enjoys spending time in the mountains, as she was born and raised in western Ukraine. She often shares pictures from her vacations on Instagram, which attract a lot of attention from her fans.

Current Endeavors

Despite her marriage, Alina continues to focus on her career. In May 2019, she released a music video for the song "Dirty Dances," in which she starred alongside Roman Polyanskiy. She also expanded her filmography with the melodramas "Sand Castle" and "Secret Love."
