Alison Moyet, an English pop singer, is renowned for her beautiful bluesy voice. Her professional music career began with the synth-pop duo "Yazoo" in the early 1980s. In 1983, Alison made the decision to start her solo career and released her debut album, "Alf," a year later. "Alf" achieved significant success in the United Kingdom, with hit singles such as "Invisible," "All Cried Out," and "Love Resurrection" reaching the top of the charts.

In 1985, Alison Moyet embarked on a guest tour with a jazz band led by John Altman. Together with the group, she recorded her standout hit, a cover version of Billy Holiday's "That Ole Devil Called Love." In 1986, Alison Moyet had another significant success with the hit "Is This Love?" while recording her next solo album.

"Raindancing" was released in 1987 and once again, Alison lived up to the expectations of her fans.
