Biography of Allison Baver
Allison Baver was born on August 11, 1980, in Reading, Pennsylvania, USA. She is an American athlete who competes in short track speed skating. Baver can be considered among the outstanding speed skaters of the 21st century in the discipline of short track. She gained national recognition after her appearance and performance at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games.

Early Life and Education
At the age of 11, Baver participated in roller skating national championships in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. During her time at Wilson High School, she was a member of the football team and a cheerleading squad. Baver only started speed skating in her later years of high school. She became a member of the United States Short Track Speed Skating team in 2002 and won several medals in World Cup competitions organized by the International Skating Union (ISU).

Athletic Achievements
During her first Olympic race in her home country at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Baver and her American team finished seventh in the 3000-meter relay. At the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, she placed seventh in the women's 500-meter race and fourth in the women's 3000-meter relay with her team. In 2007, she won her first national championship in the United States.

2010 Winter Olympics
In preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada, Baver underwent intensive training. On February 8, 2009, she suffered a broken leg in several places when she collided with her teammate, Katherine Reutter, during a 1500-meter race in Sofia, Bulgaria. Despite the injury, Baver competed in three races at the 2010 Olympics. She did not reach the semifinals in the 1500-meter race and was disqualified in the 1000-meter race. Finally, her team finished fourth in the 3000-meter relay, but the bronze medalists were disqualified for a violation. Therefore, Baver returned from the 2010 Winter Olympics with one medal.

Personal Life
Thanks to her sporting career, Baver has had the opportunity to travel to various parts of the world, including Bulgaria, Canada, China, Colombia, the Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Sweden, Russia, the United Kingdom, and South Korea. She holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and management from Pennsylvania State University and a master's degree in administration from the New York Institute of Technology. Currently, Baver is unmarried and resides in Salt Lake City, Utah. She enjoys dancing, going to the movies, drinking tea, and has a passion for shopping, mountain outings, and practicing yoga.
