Amethyst Santos, a Filipino girl, was born with a rare congenital anomaly that affected her ability to eat and speak. She did not have a mouth, making it impossible for her to cry when she was born. Amethyst had to be fed through a special tube and could not eat normally due to her deformed skin and fused jaws. Additionally, she was born without arms and legs. Despite these challenges, Amethyst learned to walk and play with her older sisters.
