Analia Bouter: The Miracle of Finding Her Daughter Alive
Analia Bouter, an Argentine woman, experienced a miraculous event when she found her prematurely born and stillborn baby alive after spending over 12 hours in a hospital morgue refrigerator. Analia, who resides in the Chaco province of Argentina, has four children and was 26 weeks pregnant with her fifth child during the summer of 2012. Unfortunately, something went wrong, and she went into premature labor at the Resistencia hospital.
Upon arrival at the hospital, doctors informed Analia and the baby's father, Fabian Veron, that their child had been stillborn. Devastated, the couple sought clarification from the medical staff, who confirmed that their baby was a girl. With a death certificate in hand, they went home to grieve. However, after 12 hours, they decided to see their baby one last time and returned to the hospital.
In the morgue, the couple saw a small casket. Analia requested permission to open it, and to their astonishment, they noticed movement and heard a cry. Overwhelmed, Analia fell to her knees in shock. The baby girl, seemingly awakening, was swiftly taken away by a nurse. The incident was regarded as a miracle, as the baby had spent 12 hours inside a hospital morgue refrigerator, subjected to low temperatures. It was truly a testament to the infant's will to live.
Analia, who was administered sedatives during the birth, vaguely remembers the delivery. She cannot recall seeing the baby immediately after birth. In the morgue, when she heard the baby cry and witnessed her movement, Analia couldn't believe her eyes. She exclaimed that it must have been her imagination. Fabian, on the other hand, saw the movement and confirmed that the baby was indeed alive. The couple expressed their gratitude and considered it a miracle from God.
The couple initially planned to name their daughter Luciana Abigail but, after everything they had been through, they chose a different name for her: Luz Milagros, which translates to "Miracle of Light."
Following the incident, an immediate investigation was launched at the hospital. The hospital director shrugged off the responsibility as all the medical professionals involved, including the gynecologist, obstetrician, and neonatologist, had declared the baby dead. The Argentine Minister of Health called this incident a disgrace and vowed to find and punish those responsible for this horrifying mistake.
Meanwhile, Analia and Fabian couldn't contain their happiness and tears of joy. What they initially perceived as an unreal nightmare turned into an extraordinary miracle. As for little Luz Milagros, the Miracle of Light, she started to recover. The resilience she demonstrated during her birth gave hope that her future life would be happy and peaceful.
Both Fabian and Analia can't help but wonder what would have happened if they had accepted the initial diagnosis and not returned to the hospital.
