Biography of Anastasia Kovalchuk

Anastasia Kovalchuk is a Ukrainian billiard player and a master of sports in Ukraine. She started playing billiards at the age of 12 and has been actively involved in the sport ever since. Her coach, Viktor Prikhodko, first noticed her talent for the game in one of the billiard clubs in Kremenchug when Anastasia was 14 years old.

By the beginning of 2010, Anastasia's best achievement in international tournaments was a second place finish in the European Championship. Currently, she holds the second position in the Ukrainian billiard player rankings.

Anastasia Kovalchuk is known for her attacking style of play, although she is also skilled in defensive strategies. In the televised tournament "Miss Billiards-2008," Kovalchuk reached the final and played against Russian player Anastasia Luppova. She had a chance to win the match, leading 2-0 in a best-of-three series. Although she eventually lost 2-3, she consistently displayed both sharp attacking shots and accurate defensive play throughout the game.

Achievements in her career include being a finalist in the European Championship for girls in 2007, winning the Tatiana Ovsienko Cup in 2008, winning the Ukrainian Cup stage in 2009, and being the champion of Ukraine in 2009. She also finished in second place in the "Miss Billiards" tournament in 2008, won the Ukrainian Cup in 2009, and won the Moscow Mayor's Cup in 2014.
