In 2007, Raiser underwent a preventive mastectomy after losing her mother to breast cancer and discovering that she carries the BRCA-1 gene mutation. She is always open to discussing preventive measures with other women who are considering them.

Raiser has a deep love for Broadway theater, particularly musicals. Her recent favorites include "Hamilton", "The King & I", "The Audience", "Something Rotten", and "Honeymoon in Vegas". She also confesses a longtime guilty pleasure for the music of Barry Manilow, saying, "He writes songs that you love to hate, that you hate because you know, and that make you want to throw up in a paper bag. He's the king of sentimentality and heavy orchestration with key changes. He takes me back to a happy, simpler time in my life when I was a twelve-year-old girl.
