Biography of Andreas Beck
Andreas Beck is a German footballer who moved from the USSR to Germany with his family in 1990 as German resettlers in the FRG. He is currently a defender for the German club "Stuttgart."
Early Life and Career
Andreas Beck was born on March 13, 1987, in the Soviet city of Kemerovo. At the age of three, in 1990, he moved to Germany to the Alen Wasseralfingen district with his family. He began playing football for the local team in the district. In 1995, due to another move, he started training with a team from Königsbronn, which is part of the Heidenheim district, under the administration of the Stuttgart administrative district. Beck trained with "Königsbronn" for five years before catching the attention of the youth department staff of the renowned German club "Stuttgart," which is the best club in the state of Baden-Württemberg. He trained with Stuttgart for another five years, progressing through various youth teams.
Professional Career
On July 1, 2005, Beck signed a contract with the second team of "Stuttgart," which was playing in the Regional League South. On August 6, 2005, he made his debut in the Regional League South with the second team of "Stuttgart" in the first round match against "Koblenz." The match ended in a 2-2 draw, and Andreas played the entire match as part of the starting lineup. In his first season with the second team, he played 12 matches and scored one goal. The "Stuttgart" team at that time was filled with young promising players, including Sami Khedira, Serdar Tasci, and Tobias Weis. Andreas Beck stood out among them. They also had former German national team player Daniel Bierofka and the famous former striker of "Hamburg" and "Wolfsburg," Marijan Kovacevic, supporting the team's form.
On February 11, Andreas made his debut for the first team of "Stuttgart." The then head coach Armin Veh replaced him for the injured Andreas Hinkel. His debut became possible because the backup defender at that time, Marcus Babbel, was also injured. His debut in the Bundesliga came in an away match against "Arminia" Bielefeld in the 21st round. Although the match ended in a 1-2 defeat for "Stuttgart," Andreas played the full 90 minutes and had a solid performance. The next match came in the 31st round, an away game against "Eintracht" Frankfurt, which also ended in a 0-2 defeat. Markus Babbel was unable to replace the departed Martin Stranzl to the Moscow "Spartak," so Andreas had to be reintroduced to the lineup and played the final four games of the season.
On July 4, 2008, he transferred to "Hoffenheim." Beck made his debut for the national team on February 5, 2009, in a match against Norway, but the debut was marred by Germany's 1-0 loss. He was called up for the match against Russia but did not play. He was not included in the final squad for the World Cup.
