Biography of Andriy Gunchenko

Early Life and Career

Andriy Gunchenko was a Ukrainian manager, psychologist, advertiser, and public figure. He was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, and pursued a career in psychology before transitioning into the media and advertising industries.

Founding of Telenedelya

In 1994, Gunchenko co-founded the public company Telenedelya. He served as the company's General Director from 1994 to 1997 and then became its President from 1997 to 2007. Under his leadership, Telenedelya became a leading media outlet in Ukraine.

Political Involvement

In addition to his business endeavors, Gunchenko was also active in politics. In 1994, he helped establish the Kharkiv City Fund "Young Kharkiv" and was elected as a deputy for two terms in the Dzerzhinsky District Council of Kharkiv. He later became a deputy of the Kharkiv City Council IV convocation.

Role in the "PORA" Party

During the 2006 election campaign, Gunchenko was among the top five candidate deputies for the Kharkiv City Council from the "PORA" civil party. He played a key role in leading the party's campaign in Kharkiv.

Death and Legacy

Andriy Gunchenko passed away on October 12, 2007, from a heart attack near Kyiv. His funeral and public memorial service were held in Kharkiv on October 14, 2007. Gunchenko's legacy as a successful businessman, psychologist, and public figure continues to be remembered by his colleagues and community.
