Early Life and Ballet CareerAngela Vieira, a Latin American actress, was born on March 3, 1952, in a family of Portuguese immigrants. She started her journey towards the stage at the age of 5. With a specialization in classical ballet, Angela entered the renowned Municipal Theater troupe in Rio de Janeiro at the age of 15. For eight years, she performed on this grand stage, which could accommodate 2357 people and was adorned with famous sculptors and painters. Although ballet seemed to be Angela's calling, this talented young woman enrolled in university and completed programming courses.
Transition to Acting
Angela's encounter with the world of cinema happened by chance. She accompanied a friend to an audition for the show "Planeta dos Homens" and ended up securing a contract herself. Her first role was that of a ballerina, followed by offers for small roles in comedy films. During this time, Angela dedicated herself to learning acting skills, comparing the experience to a child's first steps. It took her five years to fully master her new profession. Angela admits that she always looks at ballerinas with a hint of sadness, acknowledging that her life has become much easier as acting is not as physically demanding as ballet. However, she still loves ballet.
Personal Life
In men, Angela values aristocracy and elegance. She has been married three times. Her longest marriage was with actor Roberto Prota, lasting fourteen years from 1983 to 1997. Their daughter, born from this union, struggled with their divorce at the age of twelve. Angela reflects on that period, saying, "Things never go as you expect. But we tried our best." Angela and Roberto remained friends, and he often visited their daughter and stayed overnight.
Marriage to Screenwriter Miguel Paiva
Since 2004, Angela has been married to screenwriter Miguel Paiva. She is happy and deeply in love with her husband. Angela believes that family is of utmost importance for women. Their recent acquisition is a home in a tourist area of Rio de Janeiro, where they currently reside. Angela and Miguel share many commonalities – they belong to the same generation, and their way of thinking aligns. However, they have different allegiances when it comes to football teams. Angela believes that peaceful and tranquil relationships within a family are only possible when each individual has the right to solitude. She believes that too much time spent together was the cause of many losses in her previous marriages. As a result, Angela maintains a separate apartment where she can recharge and spend time alone.
