Anna Kiknadze: A Renowned Mezzo-Soprano
Early Life and CareerAnna Kiknadze was born in Tbilisi, Georgia. She graduated from the Tbilisi Conservatoire in 1999 and debuted with the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre in 1997 as a fourth-year student. She subsequently performed notable roles such as Lyubasha in "The Tsar's Bride" and Carmen in "Carmen."
International Acclaim
In 2001, Kiknadze represented Georgia in the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition, becoming a finalist. This honor solidified her international recognition, leading to her appointment as a soloist with the Mariinsky Theatre's Academy of Young Singers in 2000.
Joining the Mariinsky Theatre
Kiknadze officially joined the Mariinsky Theatre's opera troupe in 2009. She has performed a diverse repertoire, including roles in operas by Tchaikovsky, Mussorgsky, Prokofiev, Gounod, Puccini, Rossini, and Verdi.
