Anna Sloan, born on February 5, 1991, is a Scottish curler. She currently plays as the third position in Eve Muirhead's team. Sloan has represented Scotland in both national and international competitions, including the European Championships and the Olympic Games.

Born in Lockerbie, Scotland, Sloan pursued her education at Glasgow Caledonian University, specializing in sports and an active lifestyle. She received a scholarship from the "Winning Student" project. It was during her university years that Sloan developed a passion for curling, a demanding sport that she excelled in.

One of Sloan's early major victories came as part of Eve Muirhead's team, winning the World Junior Curling Championship as the third player. In 2010, she won silver at the European Championships as a spare player for Muirhead's team.

Despite her achievements, Sloan remained in the shadow of her more famous and successful teammate, Muirhead. However, instead of causing friction within the team, Muirhead's teammates recognized her deserved success and supported her ambitions.

To step out of Muirhead's shadow, Sloan formed her own team while still playing with Muirhead. They even faced each other in matches, with Sloan's team defeating Muirhead's team in the Scottish Championship and eventually winning the tournament.

In addition to her national success, Sloan has also represented Great Britain in various international competitions. Her team won gold at the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival in 2009 and gold at the Winter Universiade in 2011.

Since the 2011-2012 season, Sloan has been a permanent third player for Muirhead's team. Together, they achieved victory at the European Championships in 2011 and the World Championships in 2013, marking Scotland's first gold medal in women's curling at an international level since 2002.

Muirhead and Sloan also represented Scotland at the European Championships in 2012 and 2013, winning silver on both occasions. In 2013, the team, including Sloan, Muirhead, Vicki Adams, and Claire Hamilton, had the honor of representing Great Britain at the Winter Olympics in Sochi. Although they did not win the gold medal, they proudly brought home the bronze.
