Early Life and EducationAnthony O'Reilly was born on May 7, 1936, in Dublin. He attended the prestigious Belvedere College, a Jesuit school, and later enrolled in the Dublin Law College. During his college years, O'Reilly excelled as a rugby player and represented his college in numerous matches. He traveled extensively with his team, playing games in countries such as the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and various African nations.

Early Career
O'Reilly began his business career by working for a consulting company. He then moved on to a company specializing in the sales of agricultural products, coal, and oil. In 1962, he became the CEO of "An Bord Bainne," a company in the dairy industry. In 1966, he became the managing director of the "Irish Sugar Company." Finally, in 1969, O'Reilly joined "H. J. Heinz & Co.", a move that would bring him international recognition.

In 1971, O'Reilly was appointed as the vice president of H. J. Heinz & Co. and became responsible for the company's operations in North America and the Pacific region. By 1973, he had risen to the position of president and chief operating officer, and in 1979, he was appointed as the CEO of the company. In 1987, O'Reilly became the chairman of H. J. Heinz & Co. In 1959, O'Reilly married his first wife, with whom he had six children: Susan, Cameron, Justine, Gavin, Caroline, and Tony Jr. Today, all the male members of the O'Reilly family are involved in managing the family business. O'Reilly is also a proud grandfather, with eighteen grandchildren. In 1990, O'Reilly divorced his first wife and soon after, remarried. He owns a vast number of properties, including luxurious apartments in the Bahamas and multiple houses in Dublin.
