Early Life and Education
Antonia Makarchuk, a renowned Ukrainian actress in theater and film, was born in Kyiv on May 19, 1973. Her journey into the performing arts began at a young age, when she pursued choreography and music. At the tender age of four, she made her acting debut as a Georgian boy in Bertolt Brecht's "Caucasian Chalk Circle."
In 1992, Makarchuk graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Theater School, majoring in "Actress of Musical Theatre and Cinema." Her mentor during this time was N. M. Pinskaya. She furthered her education at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, graduating in 2000 as a "Choreographer-Director and Ballet Artist."
Acting Career
Makarchuk's acting career initially took off in the world of advertising. She also made appearances on stage. Her cinematic debut came in 2004 with the war drama "Second Front." A year later, she portrayed Nina in "The Myth of the Ideal Man: A Detective Story by Tatyana Ustinova."
2009 proved to be a turning point in Makarchuk's career. She starred in films such as "The One Who Is Near," "Matchmakers 2," and "The Milkmaid of Khatsapetovka: A Challenge of Destiny." Her portrayal of Major Alchevskaya in the crime series "By the Law," released in 2009, cemented her popularity.

Antonia Makarchuk's parents were employed at the Kyiv University of Culture and later at the Karpenko-Kary Kyiv National University of Theater, Cinema and Television. She has a son, Fedor, who was born in 2005.
