Inception and Founding of "Serebro"

In the heart of the Republic of Mordovia, under the auspices of the Saransk City Center for Culture's "Rurik" music studio, emerged a rock group that would later become known as "Argyr." Led by drummer Alexei Rubtsov, "Serebro" was founded in March 1998. Their musical foundation was a blend of original compositions and reimagined works by esteemed Russian rock artists.

Musical Style and Inspiration

The band's musical approach centered around the unwavering tenets of guitar rock. They seamlessly wove together the best of global guitar traditions with the soulful melodies of Russian folk music, seamlessly integrating it with various rock subgenres. Their lyrics were devoid of contemporary slang, instead delving into the depths of classical and archaic Russian language, imbuing their songs with a sense of timelessness.

Performance Prowess and Early Successes

The collective's seasoned performance experience allowed them to swiftly achieve a rich and robust sound. They honed their craft through both solo concerts and festival performances.
