The Rubber Hedgehog Predecessor
In the summer of 1990, Anton Stravinsky and Leonid Kasimov (now known as Alexei Svetonosov) founded the band "Rubber Hedgehog." The band performed for four years, recording a few demo albums and playing numerous concerts, including in the city of Tyumen. However, in the fall of 1994, "Rubber Hedgehog" disbanded, leaving a period of inactivity.
The Rebirth as "Archaeology"
Attempts to revive the band began in late 1995. However, the musicians decided to give the new collective a new name to break away from the past. Thus, "Archaeology" emerged in Yekaterinburg.
Virtual Artifacts
"Archaeology's" first performance took place on April 6, 1996, at the "First Octave" festival. While their early performances in Yekaterinburg went largely unnoticed, a concert on April 26, 1996, at the "Sphinx" rock center proved to be a defining moment for the band.

Over the five years of its existence, "Archaeology" witnessed a significant turnover of members. Notable individuals included:
Gleb (Vasily) Zakharov, the first bassist
Alexei Kokoulin, who replaced GlebGulya, Alexei's girlfriend, who performed choreography and occasionally played the tambourine
Olga Kashina, a multi-talented percussionist
Elena Kiseleva, who played an African drum named "Jim Bay"Violinists Svetlana Voskoboinikova, Oksana Tkach, and Maria Vytkina
Talented drummer Mikhail Gryazyev and drummer Andrei Sukhorukov
Solo guitarist Alexei Svetonosov and Olga Svetonosov, who occasionally appeared on stage
"Archaeology's" experimental nature suggested that the list of members would likely continue to grow, potentially including musicians playing string and wind instruments.
