Early Life and Education

Arifhikmet Džemaili was born in Macedonia and exhibited a passion for music from a young age. In 1972, he graduated from the Music School in Prizren, laying the foundation for his musical journey. He further honed his skills at the Music Academy in Pristina in 1981.

Pursuit of Academic Excellence

Seeking to deepen his knowledge of choral conducting, Džemaili enrolled at the New Bulgarian University in Sofia in 1999. Two years later, he earned his Master's degree, solidifying his position as an expert in the field.

Teaching Career

Džemaili dedicated himself to sharing his musical knowledge through teaching. He served as a music education instructor in Bogovina and Tetovo. From 1994 to 2004, he taught choral conducting and singing at the Music Faculty of Tetovo University, where he also held the positions of Deputy Dean and Dean.

University Leadership

In 2004, Džemaili became an Associate Professor at Tetovo University. His leadership qualities were recognized in 2006, when he was appointed as the university's Vice-Rector. This role provided him with a platform to shape the academic direction of the university.

Political Engagement

Džemaili's talents extended beyond academia. In April 2007, he was appointed as the Minister of Culture for the Republic of Macedonia. During his tenure, which lasted until July 2008, he played a crucial role in promoting cultural heritage and fostering artistic development.

Personal Life

Arifhikmet Džemaili is married and has three children. His family provides him with unwavering support and contentment outside of his professional life.
