Artem Longinovich Tynkasov: A Renowned Actor and Educator
Early Beginnings and Rise to StardomArtem Longinovich Tynkasov's acting journey began at a young age with his involvement in student theater and recitation competitions. He studied at the Nizhny Novgorod Theater School, where he made his screen debut in the title role of "Stukach" in 1988.
Tynkasov's breakthrough came with his performance as Prince Penapyu in Leonid Nechaev's musical fairytale "Ne Pokiday..." (1989). Despite initially fainting during the audition, his infectious charisma and sincere demeanor won him the part. The film became a beloved classic, and Tynkasov's portrayal remains unforgettable.
Acting Career in Theater and Film
After graduating from Nizhny Novgorod in 1989, Tynkasov joined the Riga Academic Theater of Russian Drama. He played the lead role in "Soldat Ivan Chonkin." In 1994, he moved to Moscow, completing the Shchepkin Theater School and joining the Sovremennik Theater.
Tynkasov's stage credits include "The Canterville Ghost" and "The Seagull," where he played Treplev under Sergei Soloviev's direction. At the Taganka Theater, he took on versatile roles, including Khlobystovsky in "Belaya Stolby," Иванушка in "Dva Klena," and The Tsar in "Konk-Gorbunok."
Teaching and Directing
While pursuing his acting career, Tynkasov also dedicated himself to teaching. He taught at his alma mater, the Shchukin Theater School, and later became a senior lecturer at the Russian Academy of Theater Arts (GITIS).
At the Taganka Theater, he ventured into directing. Inspired by his students, he staged productions of "Look Back in Anger," "Ciao!," and "Millionairess."
Return to Screen and Recent Appearances
Despite his focus on theater, Tynkasov occasionally returns to the screen. In 2009, he portrayed the fiancé-collector Sergei Baranov in the television series "Dirty Work." He also appeared in the 2011 film "We Are from Jazz-2."

Throughout his career, Tynkasov has received numerous accolades for his contributions to the arts. His awards include:
