Ashanti Smith's Biography
Ashanti Smith is an 11-year-old girl living in West Sussex, England. Despite her young age, she faces a rare genetic disorder called progeria, also known as premature aging. Since early childhood, Ashanti's body has been rapidly aging, and doctors predict that she may not live past the age of 15.

Despite this grim prognosis, Ashanti remains determined to find joy in life. Unfortunately, not all her wishes come true. However, one wish did come true – she desired to have hair. Thanks to a charitable project, funds were raised to provide her with a quality wig, allowing her to have the hair she always wanted.

Ashanti's life is far from ordinary. Her skin is wrinkled, her bones ache, and most distressingly, she is completely bald. For a while, she wore a pink wig, albeit a vibrant one chosen by her friends as a gift. However, one day, her teacher at school forced her to remove the wig, leaving her bald and deeply wounded.
Ashanti's mother, Phoebe, vividly remembers the incident and the emotional pain it caused her daughter. Even when Phoebe initially brought Ashanti to school, the teachers seemed supportive and even complimented her stylish wig. However, once Phoebe left, the teachers forced her to remove it, claiming that other children might start wearing clown wigs.
Unfortunately, Ashanti's life has been filled with hardship. Recently, her father, in a shocking act, misappropriated the money from the charity fund that kind-hearted people had collected for her dream trip to a dolphin park, where she could swim with the dolphins. Such acts of betrayal can occur even in the most unexpected places.
After losing her wig, Ashanti had to attend school with a bald head. Thankfully, with the help of compassionate people, The Argus Appeal organization raised money to purchase a new wig for her. Ashanti was overjoyed to choose her new hair – a beautiful blonde wig with long flowing locks. It transformed her appearance, and her friends were quick to compliment her on her new look. Now, Ashanti is happy, as her long hair blows in the wind, just like her friends', and she no longer has to worry about her exposed scalp.
In conclusion, performing acts of kindness does not require vast amounts of money. The most crucial thing is to have compassionate individuals by the side of those in need. It is these kind-hearted people who make our world better and more compassionate.
