American film and television actress and model, Ashley Victoria Benson was born on December 18, 1989, in Anaheim Hills, California. She gained fame through her roles as Abigail Deveraux in "Days of Our Lives" from 2004 to 2007, Carson in "Bring It On: In It To Win It," and Hanna Marin in "Pretty Little Liars."

Early Life and Career Beginnings

At the age of three, Ashley began dancing, including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and other contemporary styles. She also had a passion for singing and performed in musicals and various choir groups. At the age of four, Ashley auditioned to sing solo at four Christmas services in front of 2,500 church members. By the age of five, she posed for a dance catalog, and at eight years old, she started working with The Ford Modeling Agency, mainly for print advertisements.

In 1999, Ashley's parents decided to help her pursue an acting career. She began appearing in commercials and quickly transitioned to film and television roles. Her television career started with a small appearance as one of the dancers in the children's series "Nikki" in 2002. In 2004, Benson signed a three-year contract to appear on the daytime soap opera "Days of Our Lives" as Abigail Deveraux. She made her first appearance as Abby on November 12, 2004, and continued to work on the show until May 2, 2007. She left the show due to exhaustion and the constant pressure of the storyline.

In 2008, Ashley appeared in an episode of "Supernatural" as a witch disguised as a cheerleader and played a real cheerleader in "Bring It On: In It To Win It." She also had a brief role in the popular romantic comedy "13 Going on 30." Additionally, in 2008, she appeared in the television movie "Fab Five: The Texas Cheerleader Scandal," based on real events in a Texas school, and in a supporting role in the film "Bart Got a Room," which primarily screened at film festivals.

In 2009, Benson portrayed the character Mia Torcoletti, a teenage daughter of one of the main characters, in the ABC series "Eastwick." The show was canceled due to low ratings after airing all 13 episodes. In December 2009, Ashley was offered one of the lead roles in "Pretty Little Liars," a teen drama series based on the books by Sara Shepard. The show premiered on June 8, 2010, and was renewed for a second season, which began airing on June 14, 2011.
