Biography of Assia Akhat

Assia Akhat is a Ukrainian singer, violinist, and musician. She was born on June 3rd in Kyiv, Ukraine. At the age of 5, Assia entered a music school, where her future in music began to unfold. Assia Akhat initially started her musical career as a violinist. After graduating from the Gliere Music School and the National Music Academy, she pursued further training at the Nice Music Academy in France. Within a few years of active touring, Assia had already performed in prestigious concert halls across Germany, France, Italy, and other European countries.

Transition to Singing

In 1999, Assia Akhat released her debut album as a violinist titled "Homo Novus," which consisted of instrumental music in a contemporary style, blending classical and original compositions. In 2002, Assia ventured into singing, and her popularity grew significantly. The recording company "Universal/Ukrainian Records" was one of the first to show interest in Assia Akhat's music. In 2002, she signed a contract with them and released the album "Tebе, Anais." In 2003, Assia released the album "Shokolad," featuring songs in Russian, Polish, and French. She also surprised the Ukrainian audience by recording the song "Mechty" in a self-invented futuristic language. This composition was included in her album "Dusha Bolela," which she co-wrote in 2005.

Continued Success

Assia Akhat continued to release new albums, including "Goryachiy Potseluy" and "Mne Eto Nravitsya" in 2006, and "Ya Luchshaya" in 2007. In early 2009, she began negotiations with the American recording studio IVM Music Company for a new album. In 2010, Assia released the album "Angely Ne Kurят" in collaboration with the group "69." Currently, she has 15 recorded albums, with her latest being "A Date at the Movies" in 2020.

New Age Project

Currently, Assia Akhat is working on a new project in the New Age genre, which is expected to be one of the most promising events in the global music community. The album is produced by multiple Grammy winner Paul Avgerinos, with assistance from Grammy-nominated composer David Arkenstone. The project is led by Tony Succar, a talented young musician and manager in the American entertainment industry who has won two Grammy awards, including "Producer of the Year."

Assia plans to include works from her new album in her concert tour across the United States and Canada, scheduled for the end of 2021. She is married to Igor Balenko, a well-known businessman and co-owner of the "Furshet" supermarket chain. They have two sons: Philip and Daniel.
