Early Life and Family
Or Atiqa was born on July 12, 1970, in Monte Estoril, Portugal, to a Portuguese mother of Moroccan and Jewish descent, Oda Bitton Atiqa. Her father, cinematographer Michel Fournier, remained largely absent from her life until she sought him out as an adult.

After graduating from high school, Atiqa pursued a degree in law and attended the University of Paris-Sorbonne's art history program. Inspired by a series of Polaroid shots taken by a smitten photographer, she submitted her portfolio to a Parisian casting agency.

She went on to star in several successful French comedies, including "Les Jolies Choses" in 1998 and "Le Doux-amer" in 2000.
Atiqa's versatility was evident in her dramatic performance in Abdelatif Kechiche's 2000 film "La Faute à Voltaire" and her nuanced role in Jacques Audiard's acclaimed crime drama "De battre mon coeur s'est arrêté" (2005). She also starred in the adventure comedy "OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies" (2006) and portrayed Isabella of France in the historical television series "The World Without End" (2012).
