Early Career
Bernardo Corradi began his football journey with his hometown club Siena. In 1994, he moved to Poggibonsi, followed by a stint with Ponsacco before joining the more renowned Cagliari. While at Cagliari, where he made only 22 appearances without scoring, he was primarily loaned out to smaller teams.
Breakthrough at Chievo and Lazio
Corradi's prolific performances for Chievo Verona from 2000 to 2002 caught the attention of Inter Milan, who were seeking a replacement for Ronaldo. However, he played only once for Inter and was subsequently traded to Lazio as part of the Hernan Crespo deal. At Lazio, he formed a formidable attacking partnership with Claudio Lopez, leading the Roman club to triumph in the 2004 Coppa Italia.
Stints at Valencia and Manchester City
In 2004, Valencia acquired Corradi and Stefano Fiore from Lazio. He enjoyed regular playing time until the dismissal of manager Claudio Ranieri, prompting him to go on loan to Parma. On July 20, 2006, Corradi was sold to Manchester City. Despite featuring regularly in his debut season, he was loaned back to Parma in his second. He later parted ways with Manchester City and returned to Italy, spending time at Reggina and Udinese.
Later Career and International Duty
Corradi's stints at Reggina and Udinese were characterized by limited playing time and just one goal. In 2012, he joined Montreal Impact, making only 11 appearances before his departure on December 7, 2012. Internationally, Corradi earned 13 caps and scored two goals for Italy, often deputizing for Christian Vieri. He played in one match at the 2004 UEFA European Championship before being replaced by the likes of Luca Toni and Alberto Gilardino.
