Biography of Bibi Russell
Early Life and EducationBibi Russell, a Bangladeshi designer and former model, was born in Chittagong, Bangladesh. She was the third of five children of Mukhlesur and Shamsunnahar Rahman, prominent supporters of preserving the country's cultural heritage. Modeling Career

After completing her education at the London College of Fashion in 1975, she spent five years working as a model for popular magazines such as Vogue, Cosmopolitan, and Harper's Bazaar. She also walked the runway for renowned brands like Yves Saint Laurent, Kenzo, Karl Lagerfeld, and Giorgio Armani.
Establishing 'Bibi Productions'
In 1994, Bibi returned to Bangladesh and founded her own fashion house, 'Bibi Productions.' Her designs incorporated elements of her country's culture and heritage. Over the next two years, Bibi traveled throughout Bangladesh, immersing herself in the local culture, hiring skilled artisans, and studying previously unknown patterns of Bangladeshi fashion. With the help of UNESCO, Bibi organized her first fashion show in Europe in 1996, held in Paris. This event marked the emergence of a new and incredibly vibrant star in the European fashion scene. 'Bibi Productions' received numerous orders, and Bibi had no trouble finding talented artisans in Bangladesh to bring her designs to life. As of 2004, she employed over 35,000 individuals from rural areas of Bangladesh. Bibi's creations earned her several prestigious awards, and she was hailed as one of the most interesting people of the millennium by Asiaweek magazine.

Bibi Russell stands out among her colleagues for her distinctive individuality.
