Brady Gollan: A Journey from Snooker to Pool
Snooker CareerBrady Gollan, a former Canadian professional snooker player, embarked on his snooker journey in the 1980s. In 1986, he made a mark by reaching the quarter-finals of the World Amateur Championship.
Gollan's breakthrough came in 1988 when he became the Canadian Snooker Champion, achieving the tournament's highest break of 115 points. He followed this up with a run to the last 16 of the UK Championship in 1989.
In 1990, Gollan made his only appearance in the final stages of the World Championship. However, his run ended in the last 64, where he lost to Doug Mountjoy 8-10.
World Masters and European Open
1991 proved to be a successful year for Gollan. He teamed up with Jim Wych to finish second in the World Masters and reached the semi-finals of the European Open.
Despite his impressive performances, Gollan never managed to break into the top 32 of the world rankings, reaching a career-high ranking of 35.
Transition to Pool
In recent years, Gollan has transitioned to high-level pool. He currently competes in the Canadian 9-Ball tour.
