Early Life & College Career

Brandon Cooks was born in Stockton, California, on September 25, 1993. He attended Lincoln High School, where he excelled in football, basketball, and track. In his senior year, he had 66 receptions for 1,125 yards and 11 touchdowns. Cooks was recruited to play football for the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), but later transferred to Oregon State University.

At Oregon State, Cooks played under head coach Mike Riley from 2011 to 2013. In his sophomore season, he had 67 receptions for 1,151 yards and five touchdowns. In his junior year, he set Pac-12 records with 128 receptions and 1,730 receiving yards, earning the Fred Biletnikoff Award and consensus All-American honors.

NFL Career

New Orleans Saints (2014-2016)

Cooks was drafted 20th overall by the New Orleans Saints in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He had a promising rookie season, catching 53 passes for 550 yards and three touchdowns. In his second season, he led the Saints with 84 receptions for 1,138 yards and nine touchdowns. In 2016, Cooks had a breakout season, catching 78 passes for 1,173 yards and eight touchdowns.

New England Patriots (2017)

In 2017, Cooks was traded to the New England Patriots for a first-round draft pick. He had a strong season with the Patriots, catching 65 passes for 1,082 yards and seven touchdowns. He played a key role in the Patriots' Super Bowl LII appearance.

Los Angeles Rams (2018-Present)

In 2018, Cooks was traded to the Los Angeles Rams. He signed a five-year, $81 million extension with the Rams, with $50.5 million guaranteed. He had a successful debut with the Rams, catching five passes for 87 yards and a touchdown. Cooks has continued to be a valuable receiver for the Rams, consistently making big plays and contributing to the team's success.
