Brian Lumley is an English writer renowned for his contributions to the genre of cosmic horror. Born in County Durham, in the northeastern part of England, Lumley served in the British Army until 1980. While serving, he honed his writing skills in his spare time. Upon leaving the military, he embarked on a successful career as a professional writer.
Expanding the Cthulhu Mythos
Lumley's literary destiny was intertwined with that of the legendary author H.P. Lovecraft. Born exactly nine months after Lovecraft's passing, Lumley became a dedicated disciple of the late master's cosmic horror. He expanded the Cthulhu Mythos with his own creations, most notably the tales featuring the enigmatic Titus Crow.
