On March 18, 1917, Caetano made his Palestra debut against Paulistano, securing a 3-2 victory for his team. However, his true shining moment occurred on May 6, 1917, in the first-ever match between Palmeiras and Corinthians. Caetano etched his name in Brazilian football history by scoring all three goals in Palestra's 3-0 triumph, marking the inception of one of the fiercest rivalries in the country.
