Caroline Gilchrist Rhea, born on April 13, 1964, is a Canadian actress and comedian. She was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to Margery Rhea, an antique dealer, and David Rhea, an obstetrician-gynecologist. Caroline has two sisters, Cynthia and Celia.

Caroline attended a private all-girls school in Quebec and made her film debut in 1986 in the movie "Meatballs III." In 1989, she moved to New York to study stand-up comedy at the New School for Social Research. She claims that her real education began after her first performances at the comedy club "Catch a Rising Star." Caroline quickly gained reputation and recognition among local comedians with her performances, which were also accompanied by appearances on MTV in various comedy shows.

After establishing herself in New York, Caroline decided to try her luck in Hollywood and moved to Los Angeles. Her television debut came in the NBC series "Pride & Joy," where she played one of the lead roles alongside Jeremy Piven. However, it was her role as Aunt Hilda in the teen series "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" and her regular appearances on the game show "Hollywood Squares" with Tom Bergeron and Whoopi Goldberg that brought her much more fame.

In 2002, Caroline launched her own daytime talk show called "The Caroline Rhea Show," and interestingly, Rosie O'Donnell chose her to be her replacement as the host of her own talk show. Shortly after, Caroline became the host of the reality show "The Biggest Loser" on NBC. The show featured two teams of overweight contestants competing to lose weight. The show's success was immense, leading to its renewal for a second season and its broadcast in over seventy countries. Caroline hosted the show for three seasons.

In 2005, Caroline played a role in the movie "The Perfect Man" as the coworker of Heather Locklear's character.
