Celia Imrie Biography
Celia Imrie is an English actress best known for her versatile performances in both film and television.
Early Life and Family
Celia Imrie was born in Guildford, Surrey, England, as the fourth of five children. Her father, David Andrew Imrie, was a radiologist born in Glasgow, while her mother, Diana Elizabeth Bloys (née Cater), was a homemaker.
Education and Acting Career
Imrie studied at the Guildford School of Acting before going on to a successful acting career. She made her film debut in 1973 and has since appeared in numerous films, including "Death on the Nile" (1978), "Highlander" (1986), "Bridget Jones's Diary" (2001), "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" (2012), and "How to Steal a Diamond" (2014).
Personal Life
Imrie was previously married to actor Benjamin Whitrow. They have a son, Angus, who appeared with her in the film "Kingdom." Imrie currently resides in London.
