Christopher Guy Denis Lambert was born on March 29, 1957 in the Great Neck region of Long Island, New York. His father, Georges Lambert-Lamont, was a UN diplomat with Franco-Jewish roots, and his mother, Yolande de Caritat de Perutti, was of French descent. When Christopher was two years old, his family moved to Geneva, Switzerland, where he spent his childhood. At the age of 16, Lambert and his parents relocated to Paris, where he briefly studied at the Paris Conservatory of Music and Dance. However, he left after completing two courses.
