Birth and Early Life
Coti, an Argentine musician, was born in Rosario, Argentina. His family descended from Jewish emigrants from the Russian Empire. At the age of 3, he relocated to the Entre Rios province, where he spent his formative years.
Musical Beginnings
Upon returning to Rosario, Coti became a member of the group "Luz Mala" and recorded an album with them. Throughout the late 1990s, he focused on songwriting, penning hits for artists such as Andrés Calamaro, Julieta Venegas, Paulina Rubio, and Diego Torres.
Solo Career
In 2002, Coti embarked on a solo career, releasing his self-titled debut album in Spain. The album showcased his introspective lyrics and melodic arrangements.
Collaborations and Success
Coti's collaboration with Enrique Iglesias in 2008 yielded two successful tracks for Iglesias' greatest hits collection. His 2005 album, "Esta Mañana y Otros Cuentos," achieved gold certification in Argentina and Mexico and double platinum status in Spain.
Later Works
Coti continued to release albums throughout the late 2000s, including "Gatos y Palomas" (2007) and "Malditas Canciones" (2009). These albums featured his signature blend of heartfelt lyrics and rhythmic melodies.
