Biography of Daniela Hypolito
Daniela Matias Hypolito was born on September 8, 1984, in Santo Andre, Sao Paulo, Brazil. She comes from a family of gymnasts, with her younger brother Diego also being a world-class gymnast.

Early Career
Hypolito began her training at the age of ten in Rio de Janeiro and quickly rose to the international level of competition. As a junior, she won the all-around title at the Children's Pan American Games in 1998 and placed 27th at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in 1999.

Olympic and World Championships
Hypolito represented Brazil at the Olympic Games in 2000, 2004, 2008, and 2012, becoming the first Brazilian female gymnast to win a medal at the World Championships. In 2001, she won a silver medal in the floor exercise event. She also competed in seven World Championships from 1999 to 2007 and participated in the Pan American Games in 1999, 2003, and 2007.

Notable Achievements
In 2001, Hypolito achieved significant improvements in her performances, finishing fourth overall at the World Championships and second in the floor exercise event. Until her compatriot Jade Barbosa won a bronze medal in 2007, Hypolito's 2001 results remained the best among Brazilian gymnasts at the World Championships.

Injury and Comeback
Hypolito faced a setback at the 2003 World Championships due to an injury during her first performance. However, she helped the Brazilian team secure a spot at the 2004 Olympics. In 2007, she won silver in the Brazilian National Championship overall standings and was the best in the floor exercise event.
Later Years
Hypolito continued to compete in international competitions, finishing fifth overall and third on the balance beam at the 2007 Pan American Games. In 2008, she returned to her hometown club, Flamengo, after training at the National Training Center in Curitiba. She represented Brazil in three events at the 2008 Olympic Games, helping the team finish in eighth place.
Recent Competitions
Hypolito participated in the World Championships in 2010, where she placed eighth overall and tenth as part of the team. She also competed in the 2011 World Championships, contributing to her team's 14th-place finish. At the 2011 Pan American Games, she won two bronze medals in the floor exercise and balance beam events.

In 2012, Hypolito's performances began with the 2012 Gymnastics Olympic Test Event, where she helped the Brazilian team qualify for the Olympics.
