Early Life and Family BackgroundDanny Rose was born into a footballing family in Doncaster, England. His uncle Mark played over 700 matches for Doncaster, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Preston, while his cousin Michael Rankin represented Aldershot Town. His brother Mitchell also pursued a football career at Rotherham United.
Youth Career at Leeds United
Rose's footballing journey began at Leeds United, where he rose through the academy ranks. In September 2006, he made his senior debut for Leeds in the League Cup.
Move to Tottenham Hotspur
In July 2007, Rose joined Tottenham Hotspur for a fee of £1 million. After making his Spurs debut in early 2008, he suffered a knee injury and was sent on loan to Watford to gain experience. He returned to London after impressing in spells at Watford and Peterborough United.
Premier League Success
Upon his return to Tottenham, Rose made his Premier League debut against former club Leeds United. He marked his first league start with a goal against Arsenal, helping Spurs secure a 2-1 victory. After another loan spell at Bristol City, Rose established himself as Tottenham's first-choice left-back during the 2011/12 season.

Rose's progress stalled in the 2012/13 season due to a red card and a subsequent loan move to Sunderland. He enjoyed a successful loan spell at the Stadium of Light, earning the club's Young Player of the Year award. Upon his return to Tottenham, he regained his starting role, replacing Benoît Assou-Ekotto.

Despite speculations about a potential departure, Rose signed a new five-year contract with Tottenham in July 2014. He cemented his position as the club's regular left-back, playing a crucial role in their success.
International Career
Rose represented England at various youth levels, including the infamous incident during an under-21 qualifying match in Serbia, where he was subjected to racist abuse. In 2012, he was part of Great Britain's Olympic squad at the London Olympics. He earned his senior international debut for England in March 2016 against Germany.
