Biography of David Bisbal

David Bisbal, a Spanish pop singer, is a winner of the Grammy Award for Latin American music. He began his career in the Spanish reality show "Operación Triunfo." David finished school early and worked at a planetarium and a daycare. Encouraged by his college friends, he decided to participate in the reality show "Operación Triunfo 2001." He became one of the 16 finalists of the competition. David won the contest, and the main prize was the opportunity to represent Spain at the Eurovision Song Contest. He finished second in the national selection, losing to Rosa López.

David signed a contract with "Vale Music Record" (Universal Music Group) and released his first studio album, "Corazón Latino" (Latin Heart). The album, recorded in Miami, went platinum seven times in Spain. The first single, "Ave Maria," was a great success. In 2004, David released his second studio album, "Bulería" (a traditional dance). The album had similar success in Spain and became a diamond album in some Latin American countries. It is also considered the best-selling album of 2004 in Spain.

In March 2005, David released a DVD compilation called "Todo Por Ustedes," which included recordings from concerts in the US, Spain, and Latin America. In October 2006, he released his third studio album, "Premonición" (Premonition), which went five times platinum in Spain. In October 2009, David released his fourth studio album, "Sin Mirar Atrás" (Without Looking Back), which received positive reviews from critics.

In 2010, a bilingual version of the FIFA World Cup 2010 anthem called "Wavin' Flag (Coca Cola Spanish Celebration Mix)" was released. The song was performed as a duet with Somali-Canadian artist K'naan. On February 15, 2010, Bisbal and his wife Elena Tablada announced the birth of their first child.
