Biography of David Chamberlain

David Chamberlain is a successful American songwriter who has created numerous compositions that have topped the charts throughout his professional career. He is the recipient of the ASCAP Song of the Year Award and his song "Am I Blue" was made into a Disney animated film, which was successfully performed by George Strait and other country musicians.

Chamberlain moved to Nashville from Texas in the 1970s, writing songs for major music publishing companies such as Tree International, owned by Sony, the renowned Acuff Rose Publishing, and Killen Music. Today, Chamberlain's songs are released under his own publishing company, Questar.

Throughout his career, Chamberlain has created many chart-topping compositions and has worked with renowned artists such as Grammy-winning George Strait, multiple award-winning Donna Fargo, and country's "First Lady" Tammy Wynette. In the 1970s, he collaborated with popular artists of the time, including Johnny Paycheck, Keith Whitley, Dottie West, and young prodigy Tanya Tucker. Chamberlain also created music for artists such as Billy Joe Spears, Larry Boone, and "the Yodeling Cowgirl" Margo Smith.
