Kenneth Oppel: Acclaimed Fantasy Novelist
Early Life and EducationKenneth Oppel was born in Scotland in 1933. He received his secondary education at Dundee High School before pursuing a degree at the University of St. Andrews. Upon graduating in 1955, he relocated to Canada, where he settled in Calgary, Alberta. He currently resides in Victoria, British Columbia, on Vancouver Island.
Literary Career
Oppel's writing career began in 1984 with the publication of his first novel, "The Pink City." After three decades working in the oil industry, he transitioned to full-time authorship in 1986. Oppel has also written under the pseudonym Ken Hood and Sarah B. Franklin.
